Indore, Madhya Pradesh: AGPH Books, in association with Asha Paras for Peace and Harmony Foundation, proudly presented The Role of Gender in Policing: Challenges, Rights, and Workplace Dynamics, a research-based book authored by senior police officer and scholar Dr. Seema Alawa, during a distinguished launch ceremony held at Pritamlal Dua Auditorium, Indore.

Based on Dr. Alawa’s doctoral research, the book offers a comprehensive examination of gender dynamics within policing and addresses critical issues including workplace rights for women, gender equality, workplace sexual harassment, institutional challenges, leadership opportunities, and the development of safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive work environments. The research was completed under the academic guidance of Prof. Asha Shukla.

She was honoured by the International Excellence Awards (IEA) Book of World Records for creating The World’s Longest Hand-Painted Artwork on a Single Roll of Canvas a nearly 50 metre (164-foot) handcrafted Ramayana painting. The recognition acknowledges her outstanding contribution to preserving and promoting Indian culture, the legacy of Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana, and tribal art traditions at the global level.

The ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries from academia, law enforcement, public administration, and industry. Pawan Srivastava, Special Director General, CID, Bhopal, attended as the Chief Guest. Other eminent guests included Dr. Jayantilal BhandariDr. Rakesh Singhai, Vice-Chancellor of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Prof. Asha ShuklaDr. Ravindra ShuklaDr. Rajit Sharma, Founder of UNECC, former senior police officer D.S. The guests unanimously appreciated the depth and relevance of the publication, describing it as a significant contribution to the fields of policing, women’s studies, law, public administration, and social sciences. They also congratulated Dr. Seema Alawa on both the publication of her book and her internationally recognised world record achievement, calling her accomplishments an inspiration for scholars, professionals, and future researchers.
